Educators Rising is seeking experienced and passionate education professionals to join our pool of curriculum writer consultants. We are looking for individuals with a strong foundation in curriculum development and instructional design, who have a commitment to empowering future educators. Consultants will participate in an orientation to become proficient in the Educators Rising Curriculum Standards and frameworks. Upon successful completion, they will join a pool of consultants eligible for project-based work as it may become available related to their demonstrated areas of expertise and experience, including lesson writing, resource development, and/or assessment creation.

Subject matter experts are needed in the following areas: High Leverage Teaching Practices, Classroom Management, Assessment Development, Lesson Planning, Special Education, Multilingual Education, Career & Technical Education, Education Administration, and Education Technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Potential projects may include the following:

Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development of high-quality, engaging, and standards-aligned curriculum materials.
Resource Creation: Develop supplementary resources such as handouts, worksheets, and digital tools to support curriculum implementation.
Assessment Design: Create formative and summative assessments to measure student learning outcomes and program effectiveness.
Curriculum Standards Proficiency: Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Educators Rising Curriculum Standards and frameworks.
Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team to achieve project goals and deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree minimum with a strong preference toward graduate level experience in education, curriculum and instruction, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the secondary or post-secondary level.
Proven experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and/or assessment creation.
Strong understanding of educational standards and frameworks, content, and pedagogical knowledge.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Great attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in technology tools for curriculum development and collaboration; Comfortable using Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PPT, Outlook, Excel).
Those with experience teaching the Educators Rising Curriculum is a plus.

COMPENSATION:

This is a contract position with PDK International starting at $40 per hour for project-based work. Hours will vary based on assigned projects.
