JOB SUMMARY
Serve as a key player on the Global Logistics team, managing both domestic freight operations and international logistics, with a specialized focus on ocean export and cross-border shipping. You'll drive performance across carrier networks, streamline import/export workflows, and ensure high-velocity, cost-effective movement of goods worldwide.
Responsibilities:
• Manage end-to-end logistics: domestic freight, international shipping, and ocean exports.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, parcel carriers, customs brokers, and port authorities to ensure timely flow of goods.
• Lead export ops: bookings, compliance, and documentation (BOLs, invoices, HS codes).
• Resolve customs holds, delivery delays, and freight exceptions across global lanes.
• Build vendor/carrier partnerships in the U.S. and international markets.
• Optimize processes across import, export, and last-mile delivery.
• Audit freight invoices, track cost trends, and flag discrepancies.
• Train junior team members on systems and region-specific workflows.
• Monitor KPIs tied to delivery speed, cost, and service level.
• Drive strategic logistics projects to improve global agility and performance.
Requirements:
• 4+ years in logistics with experience in U.S. freight, international shipping, and ocean exports.
• Familiar with import operations and cross-border distribution models.
• Proficient in ERP, TMS, WMS, CRM systems (3+ yrs).
• Strong Excel (pivot tables, freight analysis); exposure to Power BI/Tableau preferred.
• Skilled with carrier systems, portals, and export compliance tools.
• Bachelor's in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business (preferred).
• Cross-functional liaison for legal, finance, compliance, and logistics alignment.
• Knowledge of global trade compliance, customs procedures, and regulatory updates.
