Virtual Assistant (VA)
Location: Remote (outside the U.S.)

We're looking for a dependable, proactive Virtual Assistant who can keep things on track behind the scenes so our leadership team can stay focused on serving clients and growing the business.
Baklinski Home Improvement is a fast-growing residential remodeling and home improvement company based in the greater Seattle area. We take on a wide range of projects, from quick handyman jobs to high-end kitchens, bathrooms, and full-home remodels, because we want to be the "go-to" team our customers trust for years.

As our Virtual Assistant, you'll support company owners with administrative organization, light bookkeeping support, budgeting help, and CRM upkeep. This is a build-the-role opportunity: we have plenty of work to delegate, and we want to shape the position around your strengths (and grow it over time).
Responsibilities
- Managing calendars, scheduling, reminders, and follow-ups
- Inbox support: organizing, flagging priorities, drafting responses, and routing messages
- Document creation and organization (Google Drive), meeting notes, simple SOPs
- CRM updates: entering leads, updating contact records, tracking follow-ups, and keeping data clean
- Administrative support for projects: files, checklists, status updates, coordination support
- Bookkeeping support (non-CPA): invoice organization, categorization support, budget tracking, simple reporting
- Personal assistant support as needed (occasional): family logistics reminders, budgeting updates, research, etc.
- Protecting confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion
Qualifications
- Excellent written and spoken English; clear, professional communication
- Strong ability to work independently, prioritize well, and meet deadlines without close supervision
- Experience using CRMs (any major platform is fine) and comfort learning new systems quickly
- Experience with bookkeeping or finance admin using tools like QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software
- Experience supporting small business owners (executive assistant/operations assistant style)
- Construction, home services, or project-based business exposure
- Strong spreadsheet skills (budgeting, tracking, light reporting)
- Highly organized: strong task tracking habits, attention to detail, and follow-through
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work consistently during agreed hours
Compensation, Benefits & Schedule
- Engagement type: Independent contractor (international / non-U.S.)
- Pay: $8.00 to $16.00 USD per hour, depending on experience and skill mix
- Expected hours: Approximately 20-40 hours per week
- Schedule: Flexible, with a minimum 3-4 hour overlap with Pacific Time on weekdays
- Paid training and performance-based bonuses may be available per contractor agreement
- Company-paid software/tools provided as needed
