About Our Clients
This role is designed for a senior analytics leader who is ready to step into broader strategic ownership and operate at a Head of Data level.
Our client is a growing direct-to-consumer e-commerce brand focused on delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer experiences. As the business continues to scale, the team is looking for a Head of Data to help drive data-informed decision making across marketing, product, retention, finance, supply chain, and customer experience.
This role goes beyond building dashboards or running reports. You will help establish the data foundations that guide company strategy; creating a single source of truth, defining the metrics that matter, and turning data into predictive insights that allow teams to operate proactively rather than reactively.
This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to grow into a true data leadership position while remaining hands-on with analytics.
Responsibilities
- KPI Architecture & Metric Unification
Design and implement the company’s KPI framework to ensure all teams operate from a shared understanding of performance.- Define company-wide KPIs aligned to revenue, retention, contribution margin, and cash flow
- Establish a single source of truth across reporting systems
- Align marketing, retention, operations, CX, and finance around shared metrics
- Ensure every department understands how their actions impact company-level outcomes
- Predictive & Leading Indicator Modeling
Move the organization from reactive reporting to forward-looking decision-making.- Develop predictive models for LTV, churn, CAC efficiency, inventory needs, and cash flow
- Identify leading indicators that signal performance shifts before they impact revenue
- Translate forecasts into actionable insights for department leaders
- Build early-warning systems for issues such as retention decline, rising refund rates, stockouts, and margin compression
- Weekly Performance Leadership
You will play a central role in how leadership reviews and interprets business performance.- Lead weekly cross-functional KPI review meetings
- Work with department heads to track progress against performance targets
- Surface risks, trends, and opportunities through clear analytics
- Ensure action items from performance reviews are clearly defined and followed through
- Experimentation & Optimization
Help the company improve decision-making through structured experimentation.- Design measurement frameworks for marketing tests, pricing experiments, retention strategies, and offer changes
- Ensure experiments are evaluated with statistical rigor
- Provide clear readouts that guide scaling decisions
- Data Infrastructure & Reporting
Support the development of a scalable and reliable analytics environment.- Own and improve the company’s data stack (BI tools, data warehouse, integrations)
- Improve reporting automation and data accuracy
- Reduce manual reporting processes
- Partner with operations and engineering teams to integrate real-time insights into workflows
What “Great” Looks Like in This Role

Over time, you will enable the organization to operate with greater clarity and accountability, including:
- Every department clearly understands and tracks their 3–5 most important KPIs
- Leadership meetings are driven by data rather than opinion
- Forecast accuracy improves over time
- Risks related to churn, CAC efficiency, and inventory planning are identified early
- The company operates proactively instead of reactively
