Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Registrar/College Transcript Evaluator to join Smarter by 1 Degree. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and evaluating college transcripts to ensure accuracy and adherence to established guidelines. You will play a crucial part in maintaining the quality of our documentation and supporting our commitment to excellence.

Duties

Knowledge of academic degree requirements, conversion of educational credits, academic policies, and accreditation is required.
Proofread documents to identify and correct errors in transcription and translation.
Ability to analyze and interpret college catalogs, policy manuals, transcripts, and other application materials.
Requires the ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Maintain organized records of evaluated transcripts and related documentation.
Advanced knowledge of technology is critical to the success of the position and overall operation.
Analyze course descriptions in detail to determine and exercise judgment to establish accurate equivalencies.

Skills

Must have strong interpersonal skills in terms of both clearly and concisely communicating complex information and listening effectively.
Accurately entering evaluated courses in student records.
Responsible for evaluating domestic, international, and military transcripts.
Interface with and assist staff and students on evaluations and revisions of student records
Advanced knowledge of technology is critical to the success of the position and overall operation.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with many interruptions in order to meet deadlines and maintain office workflow.
Coach and mentor other transcript evaluators.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
