JobPurpose

Assistsinthepreparationofthemonthly/quarterly/annualfinancialreportingrequirements ofthecompany,whichencompass bothexternal(SEC-format)andinternal management reporting. Participates in the overall consolidation and closing process forDNOW’s domestic and international legal entities.

Assistinthepreparationofmonthly/quarterly/annualfinancialreports.Thesereportsincludetheannual(10-K), quarterly (10-Q), andperiodic (8-K)reports that are required (in SEC-format).
Assist in the preparation offinancial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and supportingschedules.
AssistinthepreparationofBoardofDirectorsandBoardCommitteematerials.
Assistwithinternalcontrolsoverfinancialreporting.
ReviewandanalyzeGAAPandSECreportingrequirements.
Assistinthepreparationofinternalmanagementreports.
Performaccountreconciliationsandpreparejournalentries.
Researchtodeterminetheappropriateaccountingtreatmentforcomplextransactions/technicalaccountingissues.
Establishexcellentrapportwithmanagement,corporateemployees,branchemployees,vendors,andcustomersusingwrittencorrespondence,proper phone etiquette, and other effective interpersonalskills.
Carryoutanyotherdutieswithinthescope,spirit, andpurposeofthejob.
Takereasonablecareforthesafetyandhealthofyourselfandothers.
Reportworkplacehazards,injuries,orillnessesimmediately.

Education,Experience&AbilityRequirements

Anycombinationofrequirementswhichprovideknowledgeandabilitiesnecessarytoperformessentialdutiesandresponsibilitieswillbeconsidered.

Undergraduatedegreeinaccounting.
3-5yearsprogressiveaccounting/financeexperience.
CPAqualificationpreferred.
Background in a publicly traded company, especially in an SEC-heavyenvironment.
Provenabilitytodeveloprelationshipsacrossdepartmentsandtoworkwithglobalteamsasbothaleaderandaparticipant.
Provenabilitytoworkwellunderpressuretomeettightdeadlinesandmanagemultipletasksinanenvironmentofchangingpriorities.
Abilitytocontributetothequalityprocessbylearningnewproceduresandfunctionswithinthedepartmentasneeded.
Stronganalyticalskillsandknowledgeof GAAP;abletoclearlylinkfinancialresultstooperationalperformancedrivers,suggest alternatives, anddrive positivechange.
Comprehensivefamiliaritywithfinancialcomputerprograms, includingMSWord,Excel,andPowerPoint.
Experiencewith ERP/consolidation systems preferred (Oracle,Hyperion Financial Management, Enterprise PerformanceManagement, Active Disclosure).
