I have work experience as an IT Support staff member at Awi Coffee Binjai, a company operating in the roastery and coffee shop industry. In this role, I was responsible for ensuring that all IT systems functioned smoothly to support daily business operations, both in the coffee production (roastery) area and in customer service at the outlet.
My main responsibilities included installing and maintaining hardware such as POS (Point of Sale) computers, laptops, printers, and networking devices. I also handled software installation and troubleshooting, including cashier systems and other operational support applications. In addition, I managed the internet network and WiFi connectivity to ensure stable connections, as transaction systems and internal communications heavily relied on reliable network performance.
I was also responsible for performing regular data backups, maintaining system security, and providing technical support to employees experiencing technical issues. Working in a dynamic roastery coffee environment required me to respond quickly to technical problems to avoid disrupting production processes and customer service operations.
This experience strengthened my attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to communicate effectively with non-technical staff. I learned that the role of IT Support is not only about fixing technical issues, but also about ensuring operational efficiency through stable and well-integrated systems.
