About
I have always learned through sound. Long before I had the language to describe neurodivergence, I relied on rhythm, tone, and voice to make sense of the world. That lifelong reliance on audio eventually shaped the three identities I carry today: autistic scholar, award-winning voice over artist, and award-winning UGC creator.
As a researcher, I study how sound can transform English learning for disabled students, especially blind, low vision, autistic, and other neurodivergent learners. At Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, where I serve as an LPDP-funded Senior Associate Researcher on Disability, I explore how audio-lingual design, auditory dubbing, and human–AI collaborative pedagogy can support measurable learning gains and meaningful access. My work appears in Changing English and the International Journal of Inclusive Education, and my collaborations with Google, Microsoft, and the British Council have allowed me to contribute to accessibility and localization efforts across diverse communities.
My creative work has always run in parallel with my academic work. With more than twenty years of experience in voice performance, I see sound not only as a medium for entertainment but as a cognitive tool that shapes participation, agency, and learning. Through community collaborations, particularly my ongoing coaching at the Indonesian Blind Union, I continue to learn directly from blind learners about how audio functions as imagination, information, and empowerment.
I am currently preparing for doctoral research in Australia, where I hope to join broader conversations on neurodiversity, AI, disability-inclusive EFL, and the future of sonic learning environments.
