Educators Rising is seeking experienced and passionate education professionals to join our pool of curriculum writer consultants. We are looking for individuals with a strong foundation in curriculum development and instructional design, who have a commitment to empowering future educators. Consultants will participate in an orientation to become proficient in the Educators Rising Curriculum Standards and frameworks. Upon successful completion, they will join a pool of consultants eligible for project-based work as it may become available related to their demonstrated areas of expertise and experience, including lesson writing, resource development, and/or assessment creation.
Subject matter experts are needed in the following areas: High Leverage Teaching Practices, Classroom Management, Assessment Development, Lesson Planning, Special Education, Multilingual Education, Career & Technical Education, Education Administration, and Education Technology.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Potential projects may include the following:
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development of high-quality, engaging, and standards-aligned curriculum materials.
- Resource Creation: Develop supplementary resources such as handouts, worksheets, and digital tools to support curriculum implementation.
- Assessment Design: Create formative and summative assessments to measure student learning outcomes and program effectiveness.
- Curriculum Standards Proficiency: Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Educators Rising Curriculum Standards and frameworks.
- Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team to achieve project goals and deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree minimum with a strong preference toward graduate level experience in education, curriculum and instruction, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the secondary or post-secondary level.
- Proven experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and/or assessment creation.
- Strong understanding of educational standards and frameworks, content, and pedagogical knowledge.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Great attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in technology tools for curriculum development and collaboration; Comfortable using Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PPT, Outlook, Excel).
- Those with experience teaching the Educators Rising Curriculum is a plus.
COMPENSATION:
This is a contract position with PDK International starting at $40 per hour for project-based work. Hours will vary based on assigned projects.
