Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Air Freight Coordinator to join our logistics team. This role is essential in managing the export process for goods via air freight, ensuring seamless coordination between clients, carriers, and internal departments. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of supply chain management, transportation logistics, and customer relationship management systems. Duties
- Coordinate and manage the export of shipments via air freight, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Utilize transportation management systems (Descartes software experience preferred) to facilitate booking, tracking, and documentation processes.
- Oversee transportation planning and dispatching to optimize freight routes and schedules while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Maintain accurate data entry related to shipments, customs documentation, and freight details.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including TSA and US Customs guidelines.
- Prepare and issue international export shipping documentation.
- Monitor shipment status throughout transit and communicate proactively with clients
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to logistics operations, supply chain efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in with Corporate Household Goods/Personal Effects operations, within the freight forwarding or shipping industry is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Trucker and Airline procedures.
- Knowledge of Descartes Software is preferred.
- Experience in issuing IATA Air Waybills is a must.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
