Builder Mentality Required | Performance-Based | Structured Studio Environment
This Is Not a Typical Editing Job
APS is not hiring freelancers looking for short-term gigs.
We have a disciplined, international YouTube gaming studio, structured, strategic, and long-term.
This role is for editors who want to help build something real; joining an established editing team led by experienced editors and a director. Here you’ll collaborate within a functioning production system while also executing your own work independently.
If you’re looking for guaranteed hourly pay, this role will not fit.
If you want to grow with a studio and help shape its editing identity from the inside, keep reading.
About Astraea Productions Studios (APS)
APS is a structured YouTube gaming studio focused on:
- Narrative-driven gameplay
- Clean pacing and viewer retention
- Long-form episodic content
- Sustainable long-term growth
We operate with:
- Weekly production meetings
- Defined roles and workflows
- Clear leadership direction
We take contentseriously.
We take structureseriously.
And we expect our editors to do the same.
This is not micromanagement.
But it is not chaos.
The Role
You will transform raw gameplay footage into:
- Structured long-form episodes
- Tightly paced mid-form content
- Retention-aware YouTube-ready final cuts
- Strategic storytelling flow
- Clean audio balancing and narrative clarity
You will work under a Director who provides vision and structure. As trust builds, creative autonomy expands. Head Editor oversees all work.
We are not looking for someone to simply “cut clips.”
We are looking for someone who understands pacing, tension, rhythm, and narrative movement.
Who We Are Looking For
- Builders, not just technicians; You think about long-term growth, not just this week’s edit.
- Craft-focused editors; You care about pacing, emotional beats, and retention curves.
- Reliable contributors; You meet deadlines without being chased.
- Professional operators; You accept direction without ego.
- Independent within structure; You can execute clearly defined systems without constant oversight.
- Long-term mindset; You’re looking to grow with a team, not pass through one.
If you prefer loose direction, unclear expectations, or temporary contracts, this will not be a fit.
Compensation - Full Transparency
This is a performance-based role.
There is currently no guaranteed base salary.
Editors earn from the monetized performance of the content they edit.
- Revenue is tied directly to video performance
- Consistency increases earning potential
- Long-term contributors are prioritized for future paid roles and sponsorship splits
- As APS scales, compensation scales
We are building toward sustainability.
Early contributors grow with the studio.
If you want immediate, stable pay, this is not your role.
If you want upside and ownership mentality, this may be.
What You Gain
- A real seat in a growing international studio

- Leadership that provides direction and clarity
