Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Proofreader to help us ensure our content is error-free. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in proofreading, grammar, spelling, style guides, and copywriting within the health and nutrition space and best practices for compliant copyrighting and brand claims.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Review and proof various content at multiple checkpoints, ensuring accuracy with brand style and direction.
- Ensure documentation is error-free, mathematical content is accurately included, measurements are correct, and terminology is used consistently.
- Proofread and fact-check content, including blogs, content, and other resources.
- Identify and escalate quality or compliance risks within content team before publication.
- Communicate with content editor and manager to ensure accuracy by providing feedback on grammar, spelling, and brand alignment.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Mastery of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style, with ability to adapt to a brand's tone.
- Experience with AP, Chicago Manual of Style, or in-house style publication guides.
- Excellent attention to detail and listening comprehension for spoken content.
- Ability to manage high volumes under tight deadlines while maintaining quality.
- Clear, constructive communication skills and collaborative working style.
- Commitment to maintaining compliance with brand and regulatory standards.
- Awareness of SEO and social optimization (keywords, hashtags, formatting).
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with FDA/FTC regulations, copyright/fair-use, and health-claim compliance.
Work from Home Requirements
- Up-to-date Mac or Windows computer with anti-virus protection.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection.
- Quiet, distraction-free workspace.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new tools and software.
- Must be comfortable and experienced using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, OneDrive).

Hours: Monday - Friday from 9am - 6pm EST
