Due to increased demand, we are now interviewing for a California Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal with the following skills and experience:
1. 3 + years' California Personal Injury experience
2. Drafting / filing complaint & pleadings
3. Propounding and responding to initial discovery
4. Drafting Mediation Briefs
5. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required
This is a great opportunity for a motivated paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and understands the unique demands of California personal injury law.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Litigation Paralegal SkillsStrong knowledge of California Code of Civil Procedure
Proficiency in e-filing across California Superior Courts (state and federal)
Familiarity with case calendaring rules and litigation timelines
Ability to manage large case volumes and strict deadlines
Excellent legal writing, organization, and document drafting skills
Personal Injury-Specific SkillsExperience working on auto accident cases
Knowledge of medical terminology, treatment protocols, and record review
Comfort handling pre-litigation demands, liens, and mediation prep
Understanding of damages calculation, pain and suffering evaluation, and structured settlements
California-Specific RequirementsKnowledge of California personal injury procedures, statutes of limitation, and civil court local rules
Experience working with California lienholders (e.g., Medi-Cal, Kaiser, hospital liens)
Familiarity with Prop 213, comparative fault, and CA jury instructions
Previous experience filing in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, or Orange County courts preferred
Software & Tech Tools
Proficiency in legal software such as CloudLex
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Adobe Acrobat and online legal research tools (LexisNexis, Westlaw)
The pay rate for this opportunity starts at $35/hour.
