We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Scheduler to join our team in the oil and gas industry. In this critical role, you will develop, maintain, and monitor complex project schedules to ensure the timely and efficient execution of upstream, midstream, and downstream projects. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and deliver multi-million-dollar projects on time and within budget.
Job Location:
Initial Training: 3 months on-site at our European headquarters (fully covered expenses, including travel, accommodation, and a training bonus; monthly personal/family visits to the US permitted)
Post-Training: Fully remote, based in the United States
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) for exploration, drilling, construction, and commissioning phases.
Analyze critical paths, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies to ensure project milestones are met.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to align schedules with resource availability, procurement timelines, and contractual obligations.
Provide regular progress reports, variance analyses, and schedule forecasts to leadership and project teams.
Support project planning by integrating cost, scope, and schedule data for accurate tracking and decision-making.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Participate in a 3-month on-site training program at our European headquarters to gain in-depth knowledge of our processes, systems, and global operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in project scheduling, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
Strong understanding of project management principles (PMP or similar certification is a plus).
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaboratively during on-site training.
Familiarity with oil and gas project lifecycles, including exploration, production, and refining.
Willingness to travel to Europe for a 3-month training period (all expenses covered, with a training bonus provided).
