With our PLANEPASS® service, we provide an outsourced, end-to-end accounts receivable management solution to airports. We are looking for an experienced Collections & Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our PLANEPASS® team and help deliver our proven revenue solution to our clients.
About the Position
This is a cross-functional role. Your time will be split between two of the core functions of our PLANEPASS® product –customer service & collections.
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, your primary responsibilities will be responding to incoming customer service inquiries via email & phone and collecting payments on past due accounts. The majority of your daily responsibilities will be managing these inbound and outbound communications. We anticipate your ongoing time allocation to be approximately 60% customer service and 40% collections.
This is a fully remote, full-time position. To serve our Pacific Time Zone customers, we are seeking candidates who are available from 8:00am to 4:00pm Pacific Time, Monday through Friday.
Core Responsibilities:
- Customer Service – action inbound customer service requests via email and phone communication channels.
- Collections – research accounts with past due balances, make outbound phone and email efforts to collect on past due invoices.
Supporting Responsibilities:
- Gain a working knowledge of aviation industry terminology and business practices through ongoing on-the-job training.
- Maintain Vector’s collection success rate by applying established methods and customer service standards to meet and exceed goals.
- Perform research on accounts, using available company records and internet resources.
- Precisely document and log customer interactions using Vector’s internal CRM software platform.
- Employ verbal and written communication skills to respond to customer service inquiries and collect from accounts in a timely fashion, while maintaining a positive and professional rapport with all clients.
- Collaborate with team members to find greater efficiency, new methods, or process improvements to bring in more revenue and find success as a group – Vector is all about teams working to achieve greater outcomes.
- Solve problems quickly and create sustainable resolutions.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years collections experience
- Minimum of 2 years accounts receivable experience.
- Proficient with MS Office 365 suite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent multi-tasker that can prioritize as needed and adapt to changes in workflow
- An analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- A team-player attitude that puts the goals of the company, department or team before their own
- Ability to work 8:00am to 4:00pm Pacific Time, Monday through Friday.
