About the Role
We are looking for an AI-Focused YouTube Thumbnail Designer to join our client’s team and support Dan Kieft’s YouTube channel, as well as manage thumbnail creation across multiple channels. The ideal candidate can consistently deliver high-quality, high-CTR thumbnails with fast turnaround times, while maintaining strong reliability, creativity, and clear communication.
This role is focused on creating visually striking thumbnails using a mix of Photoshop design and AI-generated imagery. If we find the right candidate, this can become a full-time position as we expect a steady stream of ongoing work.
Key Responsibilities
Thumbnail Creation
- Design high-performing YouTube thumbnails that are visually engaging and optimized for click-through rate (CTR).
- Maintain consistency in quality and style across multiple channels.
AI Image Generation
- Generate or source AI images that match the concept of each video using generative AI tools.
- Experiment creatively to produce unique and compelling visuals.
Image Editing & Compositing
- Use Photoshop to refine and combine AI-generated images into a cohesive thumbnail.
- Add text, effects, and composition elements that make the design stand out.
Creative Input
- Contribute creative ideas for visual concepts, compositions, and AI-generated scenes that elevate thumbnail quality.
- Continuously look for ways to improve click performance and visual impact.
Fast Delivery
- Deliver completed thumbnails within 24 hours or less in most cases.
- Strong Photoshop and graphic design skills.
- Proven experience creating YouTube thumbnails or similar social media visuals.
- Understanding of high-CTR thumbnail design principles (composition, contrast, emotion, readability, etc.).
- Experience using AI image generation tools such as MidJourney, Nano Banana, Seedream, or similar platforms—or strong willingness to learn.
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining high-quality output.
- High reliability, responsiveness, and availability.
