The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Sales Manager to drive the international expansion of our children’s book manufacturing business.
You will act as a key connector between leading publishers and our production centers in China—building relationships, managing projects, and helping clients bring exceptional children's book products to life.
This position offers high autonomy, regional flexibility, and strong support from our China headquarters, allowing you to shape your territory’s growth strategy while collaborating closely with an experienced global team.
Job Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify and secure partnerships with children’s book publishers and related clients.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain and grow long-term client relationships by understanding editorial and production needs.
- Industry Networking: Leverage existing publishing contacts to generate business and enhance visibility within the market.
- Project Coordination: Work with manufacturing and engineering teams in China to ensure on-time delivery, product quality, and client satisfaction.
- Market Intelligence: Provide insights into publishing trends and client needs to guide business and product strategy.
- Representation: Attend industry events, book fairs, and client meetings to represent the company and showcase our capabilities.
- Reporting: Provide regular business updates, pipeline reports, and performance reviews to management.
Job Requirements
- Extensive experience in the children’s book printing and manufacturing industry (minimum 5 years preferred).
- Professional background in one or more of the following: i) Sales or business development at a publishing company, ideally specializing in children’s books. ii) Client-facing roles with a book manufacturing or printing company. iii) Sales experience at a large-scale children’s book production supplier.
- Strong B2B sales or account management experience.
- Established network within the publishing sector, particularly with production or procurement teams.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills; able to manage long-term customer relationships with confidence and care.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: Self-driven, proactive, and capable of working independently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Publishing, or related fields preferred.
- Willingness to travel internationally, including visits to our China-based production centers.
