About Oriole Legal
Oriole Legal is a U.S.–China legal platform specializing in high-skilled immigration and cross-border legal services. Our team has extensive experience handling EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, O-1, H-1B, L-1, E-2, and EB-5 cases, with offices in Houston, Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen. Over the past year, we have successfully closed 200+ immigration cases and are rapidly expanding our U.S. legal team.
We are seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Litigation Partner to join our practice, with a primary and substantial focus on trademark infringement, unfair competition, and TRO-driven enforcement actions.
This is a partner-level role designed for a seasoned litigator with demonstrated experience handling U.S. federal court intellectual property disputes, particularly emergency relief matters such as Temporary Restraining Orders (TROs) and preliminary injunctions.
A significant portion of this position involves time-sensitive enforcement actions, frequent court appearances, and cross-border (U.S.–China) matters, making it ideal for an attorney seeking long-term depth, leadership, and ownership in IP litigation and injunctive relief practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage intellectual property litigation matters, with a strong emphasis on TROs, preliminary injunctions, and emergency enforcement proceedings
- Serve as lead counsel in trademark infringement and unfair competition cases in U.S. federal courts
- Draft, file, and argue time-sensitive TRO applications, including pleadings, declarations, evidentiary exhibits, and legal memoranda
- Appear in court for TRO hearings, injunction proceedings, oral arguments, and procedural conferences
- Direct and execute rapid evidence development, infringement investigations, and enforcement-focused litigation strategy
- Work closely with U.S. and international clients, coordinating with overseas counsel on urgent cross-border enforcement actions
- Advise clients on litigation risk, injunctive strategy, settlement options, and long-term enforcement planning
- Provide strategic leadership and mentorship on TRO-driven and enforcement-focused cases as part of the firm’s senior litigation team
Qualifications
- Active Bar admission in any U.S. state (state not limited)
- Required: Demonstrated intellectual property litigation experience
(Trademark, unfair competition, or related federal litigation required — non-litigation IP backgrounds will not be considered)
- Strong preference for experience handling TROs and preliminary injunctions in U.S. federal courts
- Deep familiarity with U.S. federal court procedures, particularly emergency relief proceedings
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills under tight and urgent deadlines
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-stakes matters in a fast-paced litigation environment
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin highly preferred
- Admission to one or more U.S. federal district courts is a plus
What We Value
- A clear and sustained commitment to intellectual property litigation, especially enforcement and TRO matters
- Strong sense of case ownership, urgency management, and execution
- Sound professional judgment, accountability, and a client-service-driven mindset
- Ability to operate effectively across cultures, jurisdictions, and time zones
- Partner-level maturity with both legal excellence and business awareness
What We Offer
- Partner-level role with meaningful autonomy and leadership
- Substantive, TRO-heavy intellectual property litigation practice
- Direct and ongoing exposure to federal court emergency proceedings
- A professional, respectful, and execution-driven firm culture
- Highly competitive compensation
Base compensation starting at USD $300,000+, commensurate with experience, plus upside potential
