We are seeking an experienced Director of Financial Aid to lead and oversee Title IV financial aid functions and compliance operations within a higher education environment.
This Director of Financial Aid role includes responsibility for Title IV financial aid operations, compliance oversight, quality assurance (QA/QC), and audit readiness within a higher education environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for financial aid processes, including packaging, disbursements, loan processing, and R2T4, while ensuring compliance with Title IV regulations and federal financial aid requirements.

What You’ll Do
- Lead financial aid operations, including packaging, disbursements, loan processing, and R2T4
- Oversee Title IV compliance, including QA/QC processes, file review, and audit readiness
- Ensure compliance with federal financial aid regulations, internal controls, and Department of Education requirements
- Support and lead Department of Education audits and program reviews
- Monitor compliance performance, identify risks, and implement process improvements
- Analyze data to identify error trends, compliance gaps, and operational opportunities
- Manage and develop financial aid and compliance staff
- Partner with Enrollment, Registrar, and Student Finance to improve process accuracy and efficiency
- Support oversight of international student compliance and SEVIS-related processes
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in financial aid within a Title IV higher education environment
- Strong experience with Title IV regulations, R2T4, loan processing, and compliance processes
- Experience managing financial aid or compliance teams
- Experience supporting Department of Education audits or program reviews
- Bachelor’s degree required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in for-profit or career education institutions
- Experience with financial aid QA/QC or file review processes
- Familiarity with SEVIS or international student compliance
- Experience working with performance metrics and process improvement

Candidates should have hands-on financial aid experience along with exposure to compliance, audit, or QA/QC functions.
